How to (Easily) Thank Donors with Video

If a picture is worth 1,000 words, how much is a video worth?

For these five Network for Good customers, thank you videos are helping connect their donors to their causes. Video acknowledgements make donors feel appreciated in a very personal way which, for many nonprofits, wasn’t possible before.  And, thanks to Network for Good’s video acknowledgements feature, our customers can quickly and easily send video thank you messages to donors in just a few minutes using their mobile device.

Check out these video acknowledgements from five Network for Good customers who are taking donor thank yous to the next level.

The Bloc Chicago

The Bloc provides mentoring, academic support, and boxing to youth living on Chicago’s West Side. Jamyle, The Bloc’s founder, creates amazing thank yous for The Bloc’s donors by giving them a tour of the gym. In this video, Jamyle does a great job of showing donors what their donation has accomplished.

Central Florida Animal Reserve

Central Florida Animal Reserve cares for tigers, lions and other big cats that were rescued as pets or other situations and provides them with a home full of enrichment and safety. This thank you video features Joanna with one of the tigers at the reserve. I love that they take the time to show donors the animals in their habitat at the reserve (yawning and all)!

Eleven 28 Ministries

Eleven 28 Ministries supports church staff and ministers so they don’t get burned out in serving their communities. They sent this sample video to our team to demonstrate how they thank their donors. I love how natural Trey, the Executive Director, and Rhesa, the founder, are in this thank you message. You can see (and almost feel!) their warmth and appreciation.

4 Paws 4 Life Rescue

4 Paws 4 Life team saves pets in high-kill shelters throughout the United States so they can find their forever homes in Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arkansas. Joanne, their fundraising manager, recorded this video in under 20 seconds! It’s a great reminder that any nonprofit using Network for Good’s tools can record these thank yous quickly and get them in donor’s inboxes soon after a donation is made.

Independence Through GRACE

Grace is a faith-based enrichment center that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Bakersfield, California. Catherine, who founded the organization, implemented a best practice we recommend by specifically referencing the appeal (Solomon’s story) that influenced the donation in the video acknowledgement.
