First Tee—Metro Atlanta is a youth development organization that teaches life skills and character development through the game of golf to children ages seven to 17. Each year, the organization hosts three eight-week sessions which provide learning experiences to build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience in young people within the community. Additionally, they host events throughout the year such as golf scrambles, participant celebrations, and Teen Summit to further their mission.

Priscilla McDowell, First Tee—Metro Atlanta administrative marketing and events coordinator, joined the organization part-time in 2017 and transitioned to a full-time role in 2018. When she joined the organization, they had recently onboarded to Network for Good and quickly saw the benefits of the platform. In 2017, the organization set a goal of doubling their fundraising in the next five years. With Network for Good, they exceeded this goal, doubling their fundraising in just three years, increasing from $600,000 to $1.2 million total raised by the organization.

“We are looking to grow,” said Priscilla. “So, anything that saves us time, anything that helps us get the word out and tell our story is going to help us. So we can focus on the actual work which is impacting the lives of the youth and our community.”

Decluttering donor data through an all-in-one platform

Prior to joining Network for Good, First Tee—Metro Atlanta was utilizing spreadsheets to track donor information and a basic email platform to communicate with supporters.

“When I started, I had a stack of paper going back months and months [with donor information]. It was obvious what they were doing before was very time-consuming,” said Priscilla. “Network for Good’s capabilities made it much easier to track and afforded us the ability to expand our donor base.”

Now, First Tee—Metro Atlanta is able to track donor and program participant information in one place, easily contact them with updates and donation acknowledgments, and look back year-over-year to see their most active recurring donors.

Boosting donor and supporter engagement through communication tools

In addition to cleaning up their donor database, First Tee—Metro Atlanta has been able to boost engagement with donors and supporters through the email features within Network for Good.

“I love the communications aspect of [the platform],” said Priscilla. “We created a quarterly newsletter that goes out to anyone who has had any interest in the organization. It’s an easy way to add them to our database whether they donated or not.”

Having the ability to easily share information with people who have expressed interest in the organization through email newsletters has been a game changer.  They simply added a button to the homepage of their website where people can sign up for their newsletter. This has allowed them to further pique those potential supporters’ interest by sending out information for upcoming events, like their GivingTuesday event and upcoming golf marathon, share impact stories, and how they can get involved with First Tee—Metro Atlanta.

Priscilla also loves the analytics and tracking features built into the Network for Good platform. She’s able to easily see who received, opened, and interacted with emails the organization sends. Plus, she can easily see how much fundraising is attributed to specific events and efforts based on donor behavior.

For example, First Tee—Metro Atlanta has hosted several memorial fundraisers in which a fundraising page is created in honor of someone or for a specific cause, and all donations are made in that individual’s honor. The fundraising pages are very easy to create based on the information provided and they’re able to track these donations within the Network for Good platform and attribute them to the campaign.

“The constant communication helped us become more confident in our fundraising and build a stronger donor community,” said Priscilla. “The ability to create recurring fundraising campaigns helps us to be more familiar with what we have going on, but also become more familiar with our donor base. You guys give us the information we need to see who responds to what, what piques different donors’ interest, and what kinds of messages and stories they are interested in and want to read more about. I can see all of that directly in the communication and email features, which has been greatly appreciated.”

First Tee—Metro Atlanta also saw success utilizing Network for Good’s text messaging feature after one of their big fundraising campaigns. “We got a lot of positive feedback and donors were surprised,” said Priscilla. “They hadn’t seen anything like that before and it’s a little more personal, so it’s like you’re giving them more special treatment.” She says they plan to utilize this feature more in the future.

Saving time and boosting productivity, plus standout customer support

Network for Good has been a huge time-saver and efficiency-booster for First Tee—Metro Atlanta. They’re able to easily pull donation information for tax purposes at year-end and send automated and personalized acknowledgements for donations throughout the year. Plus, multiple staff members and volunteers can access the account, allowing them to get more done while also tracking which tasks were completed by each person.

When it comes to customer service, Priscilla says Network for Good is “excellent! You guys are always really responsive. At certain times it will say there’s a delay, but it’s usually still immediate. I had an issue that I figured I wouldn’t get a response for until the next day, but wanted to send it while it was top of mind. I still got a response right away. That was really special.”

Go For Yours helps the next generation of leaders follow their dreams by offering leadership development, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship resources. The organization brings students from across the country to Los Angeles, California, for a weeklong fellowship where they focus on developing these skills. Additionally, the organization provides scholarships to young artists, entrepreneurs, and trailblazers. They also offer Go For Yours University, an eight-week leadership development certificate program.

Erika McCall, founder and CEO of Go For Yours, is proud of the innovative approach the organization takes. “One thing I love about our programs is that we create a nontraditional, co-curricular learning experience where we bring the students to LA because [all education doesn’t have to take place] in the classroom … Some of these students have never been to California. There’s a handful that have never been on a plane … they’re all leaders in their communities, but they can only go so far without certain access and opportunities. And LA is the perfect place to have access to certain dreams.”

Since its founding in 2017, Go For Yours has provided over $10,000 in scholarships and recently sent over 1,000 students from various cities to private showings of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” as part of its Dream Experience.

Erika says the program is forever growing, and fundraising plays a huge role in that growth. That’s where Network for Good comes in. The organization raised over $40,000 in its first six months with Network for Good.

Streamlining Fundraising Efforts with an Easy-to-Use Platform

Go For Yours has been fundraising since 2018, and Erika says they tried several platforms including PayPal and Stripe before making the switch to Network for Good.

“It’s just always been by the grace of God where [funds] falls out of the sky,” Erika said. “We just planned and then hoped the money would come. But that’s not the way I want to continue to operate … Moving forward, I want to plan better with fundraising, and Network for Good has helped me do that.”

The platform has allowed her to collect donor information, integrate online fundraising into the organization’s website, and more effectively manage marketing activities like the Go For Yours email newsletter.

Utilizing Fundraising Pages to Boost Donations

Erika utilized Network for Good’s fundraising page feature to create a branded campaign which she shared with her network through Facebook and email. By asking for donations of $10 or more, she was able to raise nearly $12,000 in less than three months for the Go For Yours Dream Experience.

Erika says since Network for Good allowed her to create a more professional looking page that featured a list of recent donors, it encouraged more people to contribute. The campaign even attracted several celebrity donors. “I think Network for Good helped show me the progress, this is how much we have raised and how much we really have the ability to raise to reach our goals through this platform.”

Another way Go For Yours utilizes fundraising pages is by creating dedicated pages for some of the students taking part in the program. This allows the organization to share the personal stories of its students and gives them the chance to ask friends and family to donate on their behalf.

Tackling Big Challenges with All-in-One Software

In addition to creating more professional looking branded fundraising campaigns, Network for Good has allowed Erika to better track donor data, boost her confidence as a fundraiser, and conduct surveys to improve students’ experience with their programs.

The platform has allowed Go For Yours to track more granular donor data such as phone numbers, email addresses, and even mailing addresses. Plus, the built-in templates and communications tools allow Erika to easily engage with donors and track fundraising milestones. Having a clean donor database and communication tools have been key to enhancing the organization’s fundraising strategy.

“I am a naturally shy person,” Erika said. “And nobody likes to ask for money but [Network for Good] helped boost my confidence because I had it right there … I have the messaging; I am able to create a whole [donor outreach] formula. So, it definitely helped boost my confidence in fundraising, knowing I can raise this much money.”

Erika is always striving to improve the programming offered by Go For Yours. She says while fundraising is a key part of its success, Network for Good’s survey feature has allowed her to collect feedback from students participating in the program so she can also continue to innovate and develop creative experiences.

The Importance of Investing in Technology

While it may not be a top priority for some nonprofits, Erika says investing in technology like Network for Good is essential to thriving in today’s environment. While making an investment like this with a possible recession on the horizon may not seem like a good idea, technology will ultimately make fundraising and donor management easier.

“If you don’t have that technology, then you’re missing  out on a huge network of important people,” Erika said.  “I can count on my hand, how many checks I get in the mail … it’s not a lot. And so that technology piece is important to invest in … your brand is important, your marketing, all of these things are important because it’s a business and you want to make sure that you have the tools that keep you ahead of the game like Network for Good has helped me stay ahead of the game.”

]]>
When Advancement Manager, Mary Coffman joined El Futuro, a small nonprofit offering mental health services to Latinos in Durham, NC, she encountered what she refers to as the “Cadillac of databases.”

“The database they had been using was really big and solid, but it was way too bulky and clunky and clearly meant for big fundraising efforts involving a big team and lots of oversight,” Mary recalls.

It was difficult for their small nonprofit to customize such a large-scale database to meet their needs without spending more time and money on intensive trainings and hiring someone solely focused on database management. That left Mary feeling like “we were using 1% of the database’s capabilities.” And with a recession looming, she knew the organization needed a better system.

At the time, El Futuro was using different databases for digital communication, data management, and donation tracking. From Mary’s previous experience, she knew that Network for Good would be a much better fit.

“Network for Good really knows its clientele because it gives us what we need, when we need it, and in a way that’s easy to use,” she said.

Mary spearheaded a plan to transition El Futuro to Network for Good, and the organization hasn’t looked back.

Below, Mary outlines her organization’s fundraising strategy during difficult times and shares how Network for Good’s all-in-one software made it happen.

Adopt an Abundance Mentality

As the saying goes, attitude is everything. That’s especially true when fundraising during difficult times. Mary says that El Futuro adopted an “abundance mentality” when communicating with donors, focusing on the greater good as opposed to the organization’s needs. El Futuro’s 2021 annual appeal highlighted the value of community and featured information about other Latino-serving organizations in the area that recipients could support. What’s more, the organization’s staff also offered to distribute donations to these organizations on behalf of donors.

Mary shared that people “loved” this approach and it “[pushed them to give to El Futuro] and other worthwhile organizations.”

Bring Efficiency to the Forefront

Resources that save time or money are always valuable— especially in the face of a recession. Network for Good is one of these resources for El Futuro.

“Network for Good has been crucial in our COVID-19 resiliency and makes us more efficient, too,” Mary explains.

She finds that the software is most valuable when it comes to training and coordination. When a new person joins the organization, Mary doesn’t need to spend hours showing them how to use Network for Good’s donor management system: “it’s so self-explanatory that I don’t have to spend time training people how to use it.” In fact, Mary said that using Network for Good at her previous organization allowed her to decrease staffing needs by 30%.

Network for Good’s task function also streamlines her staff’s time, allowing Mary to provide information and send requests to her team in seconds. But the system’s value goes beyond administrative tasks. Mary shared that El Futuro’s Development executive dDirector was “floored” when she saw how easily Mary could draft an email blast with Network for Good. The all-in-one system’s ease of use, paired with its donor data management and email capabilities, helped Mary and her team increase newsletter signups by 300%!

Turn Challenges Into Opportunities

The COVID-19 pandemic put a pause on in-person events, but that challenge became an opportunity for El Futuro. Their annual spring luncheon was transformed into a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. Instead of having 30 table captains secure donations from event attendees, 10 community ambassadors raised $112 thousand throughout Mental Health Month using Network for Good’s peer-to-peer fundraising technology—12% more than their most successful fundraiser. El Futuro also received donations from 53 new supporters.

According to Mary, Network for Good’s software made the campaign possible.

“Without Network For Good, I would never have been able to host a month-long campaign,” she says. “Even though I hadn’t used the peer-to-peer that tool before, it was really easy and effective.”

The word Natik means “we sow” in Tz’utujil Maya, and “our house” in Tzotzil and Ch’ol Maya, the languages spoken by Natik Esperanza’s partner communities in Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico. Founded in 2003, Natik Esperanza supports local nonprofit organizations who provide education, health, and economic opportunities in their communities.

Anita Smart, Natik Esperanza’s Executive Director, began her work to support the community in 1999 with a $1,000 donation from her childhood church. She soon recognized that buying books and medicine with the funds wasn’t enough. “I realized that one-off solutions weren’t really building infrastructure to change things regionally or generationally,” Anita recalls. Through her volunteer work, she connected with the International Humanitarian Fund (IHF), which hired Anita to lead their work with international NonGovernmental Organizations. In 2012, the IHF changed its structure to deepen its impact in Guatemala and Mexico and became known as Natik Esperanza. Today, Natik Esperanza has an annual budget of $250,000 and works with six organizations to serve hundreds of children and families throughout the region.

In 2018, Anita found Network for Good after a three-month search for the right fundraising software for the organization and its partners. Four years later, Anita says Network for Good still offers “the biggest bang for the buck” for small nonprofit organizations.

Consistent Communication Made Easy

For a small nonprofit, Natik Esperanza communicates with its donors often. Anita sends a monthly email newsletter to donors, and each partner organization sends a monthly bulletin with updates in both English and Spanish. Behind the scenes, Network for Good’s easy-to-use email system comes in handy. “Network for Good made it easy for me to manage sending my email and partner bulletins each month,” Anita said. “From formatting the messages to sending them to different list segments, it made it very easy to make it seem like I was a lot of people.”

Resources, Reminders, and Responses Save Time and Promote Success

With Network for Good, Anita has the information she needs at her fingertips. ”I always get a response when I send a request or can’t figure something out,” Anita said. “I like to figure things out on my own, and fortunately, Network for Good’s help database is huge. I love it and use it a lot.” She also appreciates being able to review resources quickly or participate in a longer webinar based on her time and interest.

Anita isn’t alone. Natik’s administrative assistant also uses Network for Good for her own fundraising tasks. This saves Anita valuable time and supports the organization’s goal to offer professional development training to Mayan individuals.

Integration: An Essential Ingredient for Growth

What Anita appreciates most about Network for Good’s donor management system is its all-in-one approach to fundraising. “To have a donation tracker, a donor database, and a communication platform all-in-one is just brilliant.”

Additionally, Anita and Natik’s board treasurer have played a role in enhancing the features of the platform. They requested that Network for Good develop an integration with Quickbooks and were one of a handful of organizations to test this feature in the donor management system.

Anita is proud of the strong foundation Natik has established through Network for Good. She’s confident that as the organization grows the platform’s integrated approach to fundraising will become even more crucial to the Natik’s success. “When we get to the place where we’re receiving larger donations, we’ll be able to handle it, “Anita explains. “We have an accountant. We have an engaged board. We have an interface with all the data we need for our monthly and annual reports. We also have our Quickbooks, banking, and Network for Good accounts linked so that managing designations is really clear. So, as we grow, we have all the infrastructure to be able to handle it.”

Founded in 1989, Deaconess Nurse Ministry exists to provide whole-person healthcare to individuals young and old throughout greater St. Louis, MO. Instead of waiting for people to come to them, Deaconess’ nurses meet people in need at food pantries and affordable housing communities. And their care doesn’t end when a person’s exam is over. The nurses provide access to free and reduced-cost medications and work with other organizations to offer housing, therapy, and more.

Emmy Guthrie, a member of Deaconess Nurse Ministry’s development staff, says it best: “we have a mandate to support vulnerable people in our community.” For a direct service organization like Deaconess Nurse Ministry, making time for fundraising isn’t easy, but it is important. That’s why this organization finds Network for Good’s easy-to-use donor management system an invaluable tool in their work.

All-in-One System Shows the Whole Picture

Deaconess Nurse Ministry previously used Trailblazer and MailChimp to manage their fundraising. With Network for Good, Emmy loves that “everything is in one place. With just a few clicks, I can see all of the data rather than only seeing email insights,” she explains. “Everything’s linked up and I can see the whole picture. It’s just easier.”

What’s more, Network for Good’s web-based system is accessible anywhere. There’s no app that needs to be downloaded, and the mobile-friendly platform makes it easy to access information on the go.

Clear and Consistent Tracking and Reporting

When it comes to successful fundraising, accurate and accessible data is essential. Network for Good’s system offers both to the Deaconess Nurse Ministry. According to Emmy, the system makes it “really easy” for her to track when and how individuals donated to the Deaconess Nurse Ministry.

The same goes for donation reporting: “when I need to run a report, it is very clear to me to see it,” Emmy said. “All the email campaign [reporting] is also in the same place, which is nice.” With this information, Emmy can review an email’s reach and donors’ response to the appeal. That information offers invaluable insights when planning future fundraising activities.

Previously, Emmy and her team members had to review each donation and determine where each donor wanted their funds allocated. This process was tedious and took their time away from other fundraising activities. Using Network for Good took the guesswork out of this process and made it easier at the same time.

Service and Support Sets Network For Good Apart

What Emmy appreciates most about Network for Good can’t be found in a spreadsheet or within a database. It is the customer service and support she receives:

“When I have a question about the system or I run into a challenge, I know I can call for help,” Emmy says. “There’s someone available to answer my questions or walk me through the situation.”

In fact, Emmy says she often recommends Network for Good to her peers at other nonprofits who are looking for support with fundraising.

Saving Time While Advancing Mission

Working with Network for Good offers the Deaconess Nurse Ministry more of a valuable resource: time.

Thanks to Network for Good’s easy- to- use system, Emmy can set up online fundraising campaigns or run a report in a matter of minutes. That leaves her more time to help Deaconess’ nurses with patient paperwork.

When I don’t have as much fundraising work, I have more time to help people,” Emmy says.

The ACRES Project (ACRES) in State College, PA strives to increase autism awareness and acceptance throughout their community. Founded in 2016, ACRES is a relatively “young” nonprofit organization. They started growing their base of support through in-person and digital outreach and managed their donor database using Bloomerang. Then came an incredible opportunity, a grant awarded by the Centre Foundation for ACRES Project to be enrolled into Network for Good’s Jumpstart Capacity Building Program. Jumpstart is a year-long capacity building program that pairs nonprofits with a personal fundraising coach and the integrated technology needed to engage their communities, diversify revenue, and sustain their programs.

Over the next several months, the ACRES staff began using Network for Good’s all-in-one fundraising system. The result? Mary Krupa, ACRES’ Digital Marketing Specialist, succinctly explained that “Network for Good just feels more complete.”

Here are the three aspects of Network for Good’s software that have helped this growing nonprofit standout:

All-in-One System Supports Nonprofit Growth

Before Network for Good, Mary said it would take “hours” to develop a donation page for the ACRES’ website. With Network for Good, it took her around five minutes. “Doing a quick campaign page (in Network for Good) looks better than anything we’ve ever had before,” Mary said. “Plus, it all goes right into our database, which is really helpful.”

As Mary says, Network for Good’s ability to have data, donation webpages, and email capabilities “all in one spot” is what made the system stand apart from other fundraising software programs. “We’re growing pretty quickly, we have more constituents and data to manage and it’s good to have an all-encompassing system…that produces good-looking results quickly too.”

Now, ACRES is expanding into video messaging and text-to-give opportunities that are also built into the Network for Good’s system.

Personalized Support Helps Connect the Dots

While Mary appreciated the on-demand support webinars Bloomerang offered, Network for Good’s Personal Fundraising Coaching made a difference when the organization needed support in real time. “If we had specific questions, it was easier to reach out during Network for Good’s office hours than listen to a webinar,” Mary said.

ACRES’ Network for Good coach didn’t just troubleshoot or provide technical support. She offered ideas and inspiration uniquely suited to their organization’s needs, “Our coach even wrote some templates for us and shared some good fundraising ideas I didn’t think of,” Mary explains.

Easy and Engaging Email Marketing

From time-saving templates to “drag and drop” functionality, the ACRES team found Network for Good’s email capabilities allowed them to send messages that not only reached, but also resonated with, their donors. According to Mary, Network for Good’s email system “does as much stuff for you as it can, which I really like.” That includes sharing examples from other organizations in the email gallery that her team could use as inspiration for their own appeals. As more of ACRES’ messages are landing in people’s inboxes, the organization’s seen an increase in email open rates, which means more exposure to the impact of their supporters’ donations.

Growing relationships with donors through monthly newsletters and personalized communications

“Network for Good has definitely made our relationships with donors and volunteers better. Prior to Network for Good, we were having a hard time getting a newsletter out that people would read.”

Now, their newsletter is reaching a little over 4,000 people.

Designed with the goal of making donor communication effortless, Network for Good has everything you need to help you reach donors where they’re at. “[this platform] is giving donors the opportunity to really see what we are doing.”

Creating a high-performing and professional giving experience

“Prior to Network for Good, we didn’t experience donations where we should have. There were too many steps.” From peer-to-peer pages to capital campaigns, our customizable giving pages are quick and easy to set up and provide a seamless experience for donors.

Integrated events and auctions built specifically for small nonprofits

“Being able to set up a specific event and being able to account for people worked out really well for us these past few years,” added Brooke. Network for Good’s events and auctions products within Network for Good’s fundraising software allowed Mutts with a Mission to track RSVPs to their annual graduation ceremony and then follow up after, as well as organize sponsorships and run their auction. “It helps us bring everything into one place,” added grant writer Karen Goodwin-Barbour.

Creating a Fundraising Goal

The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County is a nonprofit community organization in Wisconsin, dedicated to providing food, hope, and dignity to the many Waukesha County residents in need of assistance. The FOOD Pantry strives to contribute towards a thriving and healthy community free from hunger. As a part of their fundraising outreach, The FOOD Pantry staff set a goal to engage their board in fundraising to help amplify their message through peer-driven campaigns. To accomplish this, they decided to create a peer-to-peer campaign using Network for Good’s fundraising software.

Implementing the Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Strategy

At the next board meeting, staff explained how simple it is to run a peer-to-peer campaign with Network for Good and the impact it could have on their fundraising goals for the year. With Network for Good’s built-in peer-to-peer tool, board members and supporters can set their own goals, create their own fundraising pages, and reach out to their family and friends on behalf of the organization in just minutes. Feeling well equipped, the board was excited to take on this new opportunity and the campaign was launched.

Board Member Fundraising Results

The campaign was a success! In fact, it was so successful that the board decided to relaunch it just months later so that newer board members could participate. The campaign focused on the organization’s infrastructure needs, such as improvements to the building’s layout, safety, and atmosphere. A challenging theme for any fundraiser, the board framed it as a good investment in the agency. Using Network for Good’s built-in peer-to-peer tool, board members added personal messages and began contacting their networks. To ease any concerns of over-asking, The FOOD Pantry staff checked board member’s lists using the donor management software to see if anyone had already given.

Campaign Results Breakdown

  • Goal: $12,500 (originally $10,000, increased due to success and board interest)
  • Total Raised: $7,600 (at the time of this case study, the campaign was still in process)
  • # Donors: 24
  • # New Donors: 14

Did you know that 1 in 3 families do not have access to an adequate supply of diapers? That is a statistic that 10 United Methodist churches in San Antonio, TX came together to change in their community.

The churches, which established a nonprofit to promote health and wellness, refocused the organization’s mission in 2010 to a vital, but often forgotten need: diapers. The Texas Diaper Bank offers a reliable source of diapers in local communities and developed several initiatives throughout the pandemic to ensure individuals had a reliable supply of diapers, feminine products, and PPE.

During this time of need, efficient and effective fundraising was more important for the organization than ever before. Network for Good’s all-in-one fundraising software offered the Texas Diaper Bank’s staff the ability to reach donors with messages that resonated with them while still leaving time for work to advance the organization’s mission.

All-in-One Platform Makes All the Difference

Before using Network for Good, one of the main challenges the Texas Diaper Bank team faced was accessing accurate reporting. Ashley Colwell, the Texas Diaper Bank’s Development Coordinator, focused her work largely on fundraising campaigns and donor retention. Success in both areas relies on easily accessible donor data. According to Ashley, Network for Good’s system makes it easy for her to find just what she or a colleague needs in a short amount of time:

“I think it [Network for Good] is easy to understand, so that if someone asks for a specific report, I don’t need a whole lot of details to figure out what information it is that they need.”

Her favorite thing about Network for Good is its all-in-one, simple, yet sophisticated, platform.

“I really like that the fundraising is built into it [the system], because one of the issues that I always had was trying to find like a fundraising platform that’s integrated with the customer relationship management (CRM) system we used for donor information. I really love that the peer-to-peer page and donation pages are just all built into it already.”

Texas Diaper Bank Drives Donor Engagement

Double the Impact With Easy Donor Communications

Since adopting an all-in-one platform, the Texas Diaper Bank experienced an increase in recurring donations. Leveraging Network for Good’s built-in filters and lists to send customized communications to segments of their donor base also allowed Ashley and her team to take a more tailored approach to fundraising.

“I like that in Network for Good, you can create specified audiences of which to send emails. The recommended filters (e.g., people who haven’t donated in the last 30 days), or ‘lapsed donors,’ make it incredibly easy to run a campaign and convert lapsed donors to active.”

The Next Step: Events and Auctions

The Texas Diaper Bank is excited about the prospect of using Network for Good’s auction software in tandem with their in-person events to offer donors an integrated event experience. “One of the issues I always had was trying to find a software platform that integrated with donor information…with Network For Good’s auction feature it is built into the CRM,” Ashley said. “With a lot of donor CRMs, it’s not built into the system. You must find some other kind of platform that integrates so they talk to each other, and the information goes back and forth. With Network for Good, it’s all in one spot.”

The Good News Community Kitchen is a nonprofit based in Occoquan, Virginia that was established in 2015 to rebuild and strengthen communities by fighting hunger one meal at a time. Serving veterans, students, senior citizens, survivors of domestic violence, and families who identify being food insecure and/or in need, Good News Community Kitchen’s core values of outreach, unity, integrity, compassion, and selfless service shine through in all of their programs.

Using Video to Grow a Donor Network

Network for Good’s video capabilities, integrated directly into our simple, smart fundraising software, has changed the way Founder/CEO Mercedes N. Kirkland Doyle fosters relationships with donors. When a donor makes a gift, “I send my thank-you videos out immediately and what I’m seeing is that my donor who gave me a couple hundred or fifty dollars will take that video and they’ll share it with their friends. I include my donors in my day, just to let them know I’m thinking about them, I’m thankful for them, and the best is yet to come. And my donors love it.”

Personalized communications allow nonprofits to connect directly with their donors in a meaningful way. Rather than being another email in a donor’s inbox, consider taking a more individual approach to saying thank you.

Tools Designed by Fundraisers Make Network for Good an Indispensable Team Member

With prompts, notifications, and templates designed by professional fundraisers built right into the software, Network for Good has become an important member of Good News Community Kitchen’s operations. Engaging with both current and lapsed donors has never been easier. When it comes to built-in reminders, “that’s what my team does,” says Mercedes. “And so far as I can see, Network for Good is on my team.”

Ensure your donor communications stand out from the crowd. Schedule a demo today with our team to see how Network for Good’s all-in-one software can transform your nonprofit’s communication strategy.
